Muhammad Tausif

Technical Consultant

Dr Muhammad Tausif joined CCI Solutions Team in January 2021 as a Technical Consultant. Dr Tausif is also an Associate Professor in Sustainable Textile Manufacturing and Director of Taught Postgraduate Programmes at the University of Leeds. He is a Fellow of the Textile Institute (CTextFTI). Prior to joining academia, he has worked in the textile manufacturing and R&D sector. He has ongoing research collaborations with the national and international textile industry. Since 2012, he has over 40 publications in the field of textile technology including 24 peer-reviewed journal publications, book chapters and patent. He has also been a speaker at numerous international conferences in the field of textiles. He has supervised and mentored several Postdoctoral Research Associates and PhD students.

He holds a Postgraduate Certificate in Academic Practice. He completed his PhD in Fiber Processing and Advanced Structural Characterisation at the University of Leeds UK. Prior to that, he completed BSc Textile Engineering (with specialisation in Yarn Manufacturing) from National Textile University, Pakistan. His key research interests are various aspects of textile science and technology including fiber testing and characterisation, yarn manufacturing, structure-property modelling of fibrous assemblies, development of sustainable and eco-friendly textile structures, and microfiber pollution from textiles and its mitigation.
